On the Move

Well a lot has gone on since we last posted to our blog. Before we left Lawrence we decided to cash in on all our junk and have a moving sale! Turns out, it was a huge success and we were able to pay for the moving vans and the gas to go in them (so you know we made a lot!).

Kenzie was a good baby as usual and kept herself occupied during the sale.
Thanks to all the people who helped with our sale. Especially Kelly Hart and Rich Housh who not only moved a bunch of stuff around, but also provided great company!

We don't have a lot of pictures of the actual move because we were too busy moving things! Trust us, it was hot and it took a long time. We had more stuff than we ever imagined but somehow it all got moved and we made it to the Burg. Special thanks here to all of our helpers: Mom and Dad Cole, Mom Morgan, Joe Morgan, Che Butterfield, Scott Smith, Rich Housh, Kelly Hart, Josh Hart (how's your back?!), Nathan Jeffries, Rachel Jeffries, Finn Jeffries, and Vicki Beals. Even our new neighbor, Alan Olas, came over to help unload the vans. We haven't seen him since...

Within a week we were hosting visitors in our new household. We were so happy to have our friends, Brian and Melissa Lindaman, and their one-yr. old daughter Lily stop for the night on their way back to Minnesota. These are our "Lamaze" friends from Lawrence and it's really fun to see Lily and Mackenzie growing up together.

After the Lindamans made their way back to Minnesota, we made a trip to Excelsior for the day to visit with Courtney's Aunt Shannon who was visiting from Boynton Beach, FL. It was really great to see her. Now, if we could just get Doris here too...

We also had our friends Kelly and Josh Hart from Lawrence come visit us and spend a night. We had great fun farming like pros with the Farming Game and the Harts even learned how to play Dominoes like old people. Kelly blessed us by bringing a delicious apple cake that we all had lay on the floor afterwards (that's what she said).

In the meantime, Jason has got settled into his new job and has even found time to start playing basketball with the guys during lunch throughout the week. We're enjoying old friends (Scott and Andie Smith) and making new friends too. Jason even played with his dad in the Pelican Ridge Croquet Tournament here in town a few weeks ago where Charles took second and Jason took third (at least Harvey didn't win!). Check out the article here: http://www.missouricroquet.com/Winners2007.htm

Courtney is enjoying the new house and has decided to go back to school working towards her masters degree in School Administration. This is something she can do in the evenings so she can stay with Mackenzie during the day. She will also be selling websites for the family company, Morgansites.com in the Warrensburg area. She still stays active in BPW and will soon hold a workshop at a conference in Columbia coming up in August.
