Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! We will post an updated blog with more detail shortly but for now we thought we'd fill you in on latest changes just from this month. To see last month, scroll down on the page and you can follow our activities throughout the year!

Jason has been working on his dissertation in hopes of being finished this spring. He has also been enjoying his time off, spending it with all the family at holiday gatherings. We went to the Morgan's for Christmas and even went swimming at The Elm's Hotel on Christmas Day. Afterwards we had a nice gathering at The Oaks in the community room with the extended Morgan family. It was great to see everyone and there are so many good things happening with all of us.

We are spending New Year's at the Cole's with both of Jason's brothers and their families as well as his parents. Tomorrow we will meet with the extended Cole Family and some others for the annual New Years Day get together.

Courtney received a position at Sedalia Middle School to start in the middle of the school year (Jan. 2) as a theater teacher. She will also coach the debate team like she has done in the past at Leavenworth High School. She still plans on keeping up with the website sales and even sold a couple of sites this past month which she has been working on with her mom and dad. She also has been doing transcriptions for an online company which she can work on during her own hours from the house. God has been very gracious in the way of providing employment for us when so many are out of work.

Mackenzie will be going to a sitter that we found highly recommended through friends in Warrensburg. A widow, Flo, cares for seven other children (two of whom are friends with Kenzie already) and has set her whole house up just for the kids. She provides the children with home-cooked meals (even veggies!), no television but one day a week for an hour, and even brings in high school girls twice a week to read to the kids. We really think it's a great fit and we know we won't have to worry about our little one!

We'll update more later but would love to hear from all of you if you get time. Stay warm and take care in the New Year!
